Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Before mounting, power down and lock out the lathe spindle per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully into the tool post and torque the clamping screws evenly to achieve solid, chatter-free blade support. Verify left-hand cutting direction matches the machine spindle rotation and tool-post orientation before running the first part-off cycle.
