The inscribed circle measures 3/8 inches (0.3750 inches), the corner radius is 1/64 inches (0.0157 inches), and the insert thickness is 3/16 inches (0.1874 inches). The M1 chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation across a range of cutting conditions. This insert is installed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians working on lathe and turning center setups.
The 00041523 is engineered primarily for superalloys and titanium (ISO material code S), with secondary applicability to steel, cast iron, non-ferrous materials, and hardened materials (ISO codes M, K, N, H). Typical applications include back turning, facing, profiling, and general turning operations.
