The SECO 00035416 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI and ISO designation XOMX060204R-M05 in manufacturer grade F40M. The insert features a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle, positive rake geometry at 20.2 degrees, and a 15-degree relief angle. A PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual-layer coating delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a broad range of cutting applications. With 2 cutting edges and a honed cutting edge style, the insert is designed for reliable performance in high-productivity milling operations. It is screw-held and right-hand oriented, fitting the XOMX-06 series. The insert is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium, covering primary material codes P, K, and S. Secondary material compatibility extends to cast iron and non-ferrous metal (codes K and N). Typical applications include shoulder milling and face milling on both CNC machining centers and manual milling equipment in industrial and job-shop environments. The chip breaker designation M05 is optimized for medium-duty cutting conditions. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key to the toolholder manufacturer's specified seating procedure when securing the clamping screw; do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for debris or damage before installing a new insert to ensure proper seating and runout control.
