The SECO 00033119 is a solid carbide cutoff and parting insert engineered for precision grooving and cutoff operations on a wide range of workpiece materials. Built to Series 150.10 specifications, it features a 1.98mm (0.0780 inch) cutting width, a 6-degree neutral lead angle, and a 0.1524mm (0.0060 inch) corner radius. The insert is finished with a PVD-applied TiAlN/TiN multilayer coating over a micrograin solid carbide substrate, delivering thermal resistance and edge stability under demanding cutting conditions. It is sized to Insert Seat Size 2 and is held in position by a clamp-style holding method. Toolmakers, machinists, and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments are the primary installers of this insert.
This insert is rated for universal primary workpiece material application, designated by material code OD, making it suitable across a broad range of metals encountered in turning and parting operations. It is intended for use in Series 150.10 compatible cutoff and grooving toolholders. The single-end design means the insert is replaced rather than flipped when the cutting edge is spent. This chipbreaker style 14 geometry supports controlled chip formation during parting and cutoff passes in both light and moderate stock-removal scenarios.
Designed for use with Series 150.10 clamp-style cutoff and grooving toolholders accepting Insert Seat Size 2. Consult your toolholder documentation to confirm seat size and clamp compatibility before ordering.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket surfaces before tightening the clamp to the manufacturer-specified procedure. Inspect the insert seat and clamp for chips or debris that could affect seating and runout. Follow your facility's toolchange and lockout/tagout procedures at all times.
