The SECO 00023739 is a carbide end replaceable milling tip in the MM12 Minimaster series, designed for modular tooling systems used in slotting operations. It features a 0.500-inch cutting width, a maximum depth of cut of 0.604 inches (15.4 mm), and a functional length of 0.783 inches. The tip is ground with 3 flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, and is coated via PVD with TiAlN and TiN layers for wear resistance and thermal stability. Right-hand cut geometry and an M04 chipbreaker are integrated into the design. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation in demanding cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This milling tip is suited for slotting applications across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It carries material grade designations of P10 through P50, N10 through N20, M10 through M40, and S10 through S20, making it appropriate for production environments in both job shops and high-volume manufacturing. The 90-degree lead angle and 0-degree chamfer angle define its entry geometry. This tip sells as a single unit with a minimum order quantity of 2.
Designed for use with MM12 Minimaster series modular milling holders. Insert size designation is 0.500-R031A30 per the full milling tip description MM12-0.500-R031A30-M04. Conforms to ANSI standards.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians. The tip is threaded or clamped into a compatible MM12 modular holder — ensure the holder seating surface is clean and free of chips or debris before assembly. Disengage machine power and lock out the spindle before changing milling tips. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut or recommended feed rates for the selected workpiece material grade.
