The SECO 00023607 is a solid carbide trigon milling insert designed for high-performance face and shoulder milling operations. Carrying the ANSI and ISO designation 218.19-200T-05-M10, it is manufactured in grade F40M from fine-grain solid carbide and coated with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN multilayer coating for extended wear resistance. The insert features a positive rake angle of 10 degrees, a T-Land cutting edge style, and three usable cutting edges, making it a practical choice for production milling environments. At 0.2165 inches thick with a 0.5 inch inscribed circle, it seats in screw-held pockets and handles a maximum depth of cut of 0.787 inches.
This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. It is compatible with the SECO R218.19-40 cutter series and is appropriate for both roughing and semi-finishing passes where chip control is critical. The M10 chip breaker geometry is optimized for steel and general-purpose applications across a range of cutting conditions. Typical users include CNC machinists and tool room technicians running face mills on machining centers in production or job-shop environments.

Seat the insert fully in the pocket before tightening the clamping screw, and verify seating against all locating surfaces. Inspect the pocket for chips or debris before each insert change to prevent micro-fractures from improper seating.
