The SECO 00020169 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature superalloys. The tool features a 12 mm cutting diameter, a 1 mm corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a 40-degree helix angle. It carries SECO MEGA coating for extended tool life under tough cutting conditions. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry, and the short flute length combined with the extended reach geometry supports stable material removal in roughing applications. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shop or production environments will find this tool suited for aggressive stock removal on ferrous and exotic alloy workpieces.
This end mill fits applications where corner geometry integrity matters, such as profiling, slotting, and pocket milling in steel and stainless steel components. The 15 mm length of cut and 30 mm reach length make it appropriate for moderately deep features while maintaining rigidity. The 11.40 mm neck diameter provides clearance relief behind the cutting zone. It is well suited for CNC machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation where coolant-through is not required but surface finish and corner definition are critical.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers accepting a 12 mm straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys. Part of the SECO JH910 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank in a precision collet or end mill holder to the full recommended grip length, ensuring shank runout does not exceed the 0.01 mm TIR maximum. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended feeds and speeds for the target workpiece material and depth of cut.
