The SECO 00019488 is a shim screw designed for indexable turning toolholders. It secures the shim that sits between the insert pocket and the cutting insert, maintaining precise seating depth and insert stability during turning operations. This hardware component is compatible with SRGC-style toolholders and is driven by a TX3.5 key. Sold individually, it is ordered in multiples of 10. Machining professionals and toolroom technicians install this screw as part of routine insert changeovers or when replacing worn shim hardware in a turning setup.
This shim screw is intended for use in indexable turning applications. It is paired with RCMT 32.5 inserts seated in SRGC toolholders. Typical install scenarios include production turning centers and manual lathes where indexable tooling is used and shim hardware must be replaced to maintain insert pocket integrity. The minimum order quantity is 10 pieces, making it suitable for shops that stock spare hardware for ongoing tooling maintenance.
Compatible with SRGC-style indexable turning toolholders using RCMT 32.5 inserts. Requires a TX3.5 key or driver for installation. Industry standard number 19488 may be used for cross-reference.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians during insert changeover or shim replacement. Power down and lock out the machine before accessing the toolholder. Use only the specified TX3.5 key to avoid stripping the screw head. Do not overtighten, as shim screws are precision hardware and excessive torque can damage the toolholder pocket.
