The SECO 00013376 is a right-hand STGC-style indexable turning toolholder designed for external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features a 0-degree neutral rake geometry with a 90-degree lead angle, making it well suited for straight turning and facing passes where consistent insert positioning is critical. The holder accepts TC..21.5. style inserts secured by a screw-lock clamping method, delivering reliable repeatability during high-volume turning. The shank measures 0.5 inches wide by 0.5 inches tall with an overall length of 3.5 inches. Toolholder material is steel. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production machining environments are the primary installers.
This toolholder is intended for turning applications across a broad range of workpiece materials. The primary workpiece material designation is Universal, covering material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S — encompassing hardened materials, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, steel, and superalloys. It is appropriate for both production turning and prototype work where a screw-lock STGC holder with a 0.5-inch shank is required. Coolant-through capability is not included in this design.
Designed to accept TC..21.5. style inserts with a compatible insert size code of TC215 and an inscribed circle of 0.25 inches. Suited for use in screw-lock STGC toolholder systems with a 0.5-inch shank envelope.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an estop or locked-out state before changing toolholders or inserts. Seat the toolholder fully in the turret or tool block and torque the mounting screws to the machine or tooling system manufacturer specification. Use the correct screw-lock key when seating TC..21.5. inserts to avoid damaging the insert pocket or clamping screw.
