The SECO 00013375 is an MSDN-style neutral-hand indexable turning toolholder designed for use on CNC and manual lathes in metal-turning applications. It accepts SN..64. series inserts secured by a clamp-and-pin Multiple Lock clamping method, providing rigid, repeatable insert positioning under heavy cutting loads. The shank measures 1-1/4 inches wide by 1-1/4 inches tall with an overall length of 7 inches. The negative rake geometry, with rake angles of -6, -8.45, and 0 degrees depending on orientation, suits it for interrupted cuts and hard-material turning. Installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians, this toolholder is a direct production-floor tool, not a replacement component.
This toolholder is suited for turning operations across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steel, cast iron, stainless, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and high-temperature alloys, covering ISO material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The neutral cutting direction makes it compatible with both left-hand and right-hand setups at the machine turret or tool post. It is well-matched to production turning environments where consistent insert seating and secure clamping are required across repeated insert changes.
Designed to accept SN..64. series negative-rake turning inserts with a compatible insert size code of SN64 and a 3/4-inch inscribed circle. Manufacturer catalog reference: MSDNN206E.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. The machine spindle must be stopped and all axis motion halted before mounting or changing the toolholder or insert. Verify turret pocket size matches the 1-1/4-inch by 1-1/4-inch shank before installation. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for clamping screws — do not use impact tools on insert clamping hardware.
