The SECO 00013374 is a left-hand STGC-style indexable turning toolholder designed for external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built from steel with a screw-lock insert holding method, it accepts TC..21.5. inserts with a 1/4-inch inscribed circle. The shank measures 3/8 inches wide by 3/8 inches tall with an overall length of 2.5 inches. A neutral rake angle of 0 degrees and a 90-degree lead angle make this holder suitable for straight turning and facing passes. It is typically installed by machinists and tool-room technicians in production or job-shop environments.
This toolholder is intended for left-hand cutting direction on turning centers and engine lathes. The STGC style positions the insert for external turning with a back-of-bar to cutting edge distance of 0.5 inches, providing clearance for a wide range of part diameters. It is rated for universal workpiece material compatibility, covering material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, which correspond to hardened materials, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous, carbon steel, and high-temperature alloys respectively.
Designed for use with TC..21.5. series inserts (compatible insert size code TC215) with a 1/4-inch inscribed circle. Rated for universal primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing the toolholder or insert. Verify that the toolpost bore and clamping hardware match the 3/8-inch shank dimensions before mounting. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to secure the screw-lock insert clamp according to the insert manufacturer's seating procedure.
