The 00009225 is rated for back turning, boring, facing, and turning operations. Its primary workpiece material designation is superalloys and titanium (material code S), with secondary suitability for steel, cast iron, non-ferrous materials, and hardened materials (material codes M, K, N, H). The TPMM-46 series chip breaker geometry helps manage chip flow across this broad range of cut types. Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate insert-seating tool or torx key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when securing clamp or lever-lock style holders. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new insert. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut rating for the insert and toolholder combination in use.
