The SEAL-TITE 4246NC-07 is an oval reverse boot designed for duct transition work in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This fitting connects oval duct runs to register openings or plenum takeoffs where a reverse-configuration boot is required. The 4246NC-07 measures 7 inches in the oval dimension and provides a secure, airtight fit at the transition point. HVAC installers and sheet metal mechanics rely on this type of boot when routing supply or return air through floor, wall, or ceiling assemblies that require a reversed entry angle.
The SEAL-TITE 4246NC-07 is suited for supply-side duct distribution in residential forced-air systems and light commercial applications where oval ductwork is specified. It is used in new construction and retrofit projects where standard rectangular or round boots will not fit the existing layout. Installers choose a reverse boot when the duct approaches the register opening from the opposite direction of a standard boot configuration.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install fitting for residential and light commercial HVAC duct systems using 7-inch oval ductwork configurations.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician or sheet metal mechanic. Shut down the air handling system and de-energize the air handler before beginning duct work. Seal all joints with listed duct sealant or UL 181-rated tape in accordance with applicable mechanical codes. Avoid overtightening fasteners on the boot flange to prevent deformation of the oval collar.
