Finished in satin chrome (626), it measures 4.5 x 4.5 inches and is built for access control installations where concealed wiring is required between the door frame and the door leaf. Licensed electricians and access control technicians install this type of device when card readers, electric strikes, magnetic locks, or door position switches must receive power through the hinge point. It ships as a single unit.
This hinge is suited for commercial interior and exterior door applications where low-voltage signal or power conductors need a protected, reliable path across the door pivot axis. Typical use cases include installations with electric hardware on the door leaf — such as electrified exit devices, request-to-exit sensors, or powered locking hardware — where running a wire loop or surface raceway is not acceptable.
