The SCIENTIFIC CUTTING TOOLS TMLR3-.5MMA is a long-reach, helical flute thread mill designed for cutting internal M3 x 0.50 metric coarse threads in solid carbide construction. It features three right-hand flutes, a cutting diameter of 0.09 inches, and a length of cut of 0.225 inches. The submicron carbide grade provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for precision threading in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. An AlTiN+ coating reduces heat buildup and extends tool life in demanding production environments. This tool is installed by machinists and toolroom professionals running CNC machining centers.

This thread mill is suited for internal threading operations where a standard tap cannot be used, including blind holes, hard materials, and applications requiring a single tool to produce multiple thread sizes close to the nominal diameter.
