The SCIENTIFIC CUTTING TOOLS SAEJ1926-10R is a solid carbide porting tool designed to machine SAE straight-thread O-ring boss ports to specification in hydraulic and pneumatic tubing systems. It combines a spotface operation with a reamer pilot in a single tool, producing the flat seating surface and precise bore finish required for leak-free O-ring boss connections. The spotface diameter is 1.354 inches, the tool accepts 5/8-inch tube OD (Tube Dash 10), and the 15-degree seal angle conforms to SAE J1926 and SAE J514 standards. Machinists, hydraulic system fabricators, and fluid power technicians use this tool when preparing ports in manifolds, fittings, and tube assemblies.
This porting tool is suited for tube dash 10 applications in fluid power, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems where SAE J1926 straight-thread O-ring boss port geometry is required. The straight-shank, straight-flute design is compatible with standard drill press, CNC machining center, and lathe setups. Typical workpieces include hydraulic manifold blocks, adapter fittings, and tubing end preparations. The bright uncoated solid carbide construction is appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials commonly found in fluid power fabrication.
Designed for SAE Tube Dash 10 ports with 5/8-inch tube OD. Conforms to SAE J1926 and SAE J514 straight-thread O-ring boss port standards. Intended for use on tube and manifold workpieces requiring a 1.354-inch spotface diameter and UNF thread type port preparation.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists or fluid power fabricators using a drill press, milling machine, or CNC machining center with a straight collet or chuck accepting a 3/4-inch shank. Secure the workpiece firmly before operation and verify the pilot diameter clears the existing bore within the specified range before engaging the spotface head. De-energize and depressurize any system being reworked before porting operations begin. Follow applicable facility safety and machining codes when working with carbide tooling at rated speeds.
