The SCHUNK 207910 is a sealed hydraulic chuck sleeve designed for use with hydraulic tool-holding chucks in precision machining applications. With a 3 mm inside diameter and a 12 mm outside diameter, this sleeve fits standard hydraulic chuck bodies and provides the interface between the chuck and the cutting tool shank. The head diameter measures 16.5 mm, and the length under the head is 1.7717 inches (45 mm). Constructed from steel, the 207910 supports coolant-through operation, allowing cutting fluid to be delivered directly to the tool tip for improved chip evacuation and thermal management. Installation is performed by machining professionals and toolroom technicians.
This sleeve is intended for CNC machining centers, milling machines, and other machine tools that use hydraulic chuck systems requiring precision bore sleeves. It is suited for applications where tool shank reduction is needed to accommodate smaller-diameter cutting tools within a larger hydraulic chuck bore. Coolant-through capability makes it appropriate for deep-hole drilling, reaming, and other operations where direct coolant delivery at the cutting zone is required. The sealed sleeve type helps maintain hydraulic clamping pressure and prevents fluid ingress into the clamping mechanism.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service component for hydraulic tool-holding chucks that accept 12 mm OD reduction sleeves with a 3 mm bore.
Installation should be performed by a qualified toolroom technician or machining professional. Before inserting or removing chuck sleeves, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the chuck is depressurized. Clean the chuck bore and sleeve exterior thoroughly before installation to prevent contamination of the hydraulic clamping surface. Follow the chuck manufacturer's torque and clamping specifications for the hydraulic actuator when securing the assembly.
