The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC ZB5AC5 is a nonilluminated, momentary push-button switch operator designed for industrial and commercial control panel applications. It features a round, yellow extended mushroom-head actuator mounted through a 22 mm panel cutout. The plastic operator body carries NEMA 4X and 13 ratings, making it suitable for environments where moisture, dust, and corrosion resistance are required. Licensed electricians and panel builders install this type of operator as part of machine control, motor starter, and emergency-function assemblies. It meets a broad set of international and North American standards including UL 508 and EN/IEC 60947-5-1.
The ZB5AC5 is used in 22 mm industry-standard control station cutouts across industrial machinery, pump panels, conveyor controls, and process automation enclosures. The yellow color is commonly applied to caution, fault-reset, or function-specific push-button positions in panel layouts. This operator is suitable for both indoor and outdoor-rated enclosures that require NEMA 4X ingress protection. It is compatible with Schneider Electric Harmony XB5 series contact blocks and body assemblies that accept 22 mm operators.
Compatible with Schneider Electric Harmony XB5 series 22 mm control station assemblies that accept standard push-button operators, as noted in supplier documentation.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements and applicable local codes. De-energize and lockout/tagout the control panel before removing or installing any push-button operator or contact block assembly. The operator mounts through a 22 mm panel cutout and secures with the appropriate retaining nut or collar — do not overtighten plastic components. Verify that contact block ratings are matched to the circuit voltage and current requirements before returning the panel to service.
