This relay is designed for use in IEC-style motor starter assemblies, typically protecting three-phase motors in light-duty industrial and commercial applications. Its compact form factor and direct-mount design allow it to integrate cleanly into a starter block without additional wiring between the overload relay and contactor. Confirmed compatible contactors include the LC1D09 and LC1D38. It is appropriate for applications where motor current draw falls consistently in the 0.4 to 0.63 amp operating range.

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 430 and any applicable local codes governing motor branch circuit and overload protection. Set the current dial to match the motor full-load ampere rating shown on the motor nameplate after the relay is mechanically secured to the contactor. Do not bypass or jumper the overload relay contacts during commissioning testing.
