The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LAD4TBDL is a contactor suppressor module designed to reduce voltage transients and electrical noise generated when a contactor coil is de-energized. Suppressor modules protect sensitive control circuits and nearby components from voltage spikes that occur during switching events. This module mounts directly onto compatible TeSys D series contactors, making it a compact, add-on accessory installed by licensed electricians during panel assembly or contactor maintenance. At 0.03 pounds and measuring 2.3 inches in length and 1.6 inches in width, it fits cleanly within tight enclosure layouts without adding significant bulk.
This suppressor module is suited for commercial and industrial electrical installations where TeSys D series contactors are used in motor control centers, control panels, and automation enclosures. It is typically installed at the time of contactor commissioning or during a control circuit upgrade to improve circuit protection and reduce nuisance faults caused by switching transients.
Designed for use with LC1D09-D38, LC1DT20-DT40, and TeSys D series contactors as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements and local electrical codes. De-energize and lockout/tagout the panel before attaching or removing any contactor accessory module. The suppressor module snaps onto the contactor coil terminals and should be seated firmly before restoring power. Do not modify the module or use it outside of its rated compatible contactor series.
