The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LAD4DDL is a suppressor module designed to reduce electrical noise and voltage transients generated when a contactor coil de-energizes. Installed directly on compatible TeSys D series contactors, it protects adjacent control circuitry from damaging voltage spikes that occur during coil switching. The module is a compact accessory intended for panel builders, industrial electricians, and controls technicians working on motor control centers, machine control panels, or other low-voltage switching applications. It measures 2.4 inches in length, 1.8 inches in width, and 0.2 inches in height, and weighs 0.02 pounds.
The LAD4DDL is suited for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial control panels where TeSys D contactors are installed. It is commonly applied in motor starter circuits, HVAC equipment control panels, and automated machinery where coil suppression is required to protect PLCs, relay logic, or other sensitive control devices sharing the same panel. This module mounts directly to the contactor without additional hardware, making it a straightforward addition during new installation or retrofit work.
Designed for use with LC1D09-D38, LC1D40A-D65A, LC1DT20-DT40, LC1DT60A-DT80A, and TeSys D series contactors.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements and local codes. De-energize and lock out the panel before installing or removing this module. The suppressor snaps directly onto the contactor coil terminals — no additional wiring or tools are typically required. Verify coil voltage compatibility between the suppressor module and the installed contactor before energizing the circuit.
