The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LA4DE2U is a contactor suppressor module designed to reduce electrical noise and voltage spikes generated when a contactor coil de-energizes. By absorbing transient energy at the source, it protects sensitive control circuitry and extends the service life of connected components. This module mounts directly to compatible TeSys D series contactors, making installation straightforward for licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians. It is compact and lightweight, measuring 2 inches in length, 1.7 inches in width, and 1.1 inches in height, and weighing under 0.1 pounds. It is suited for both new installations and field retrofits where coil suppression was not originally included.
The LA4DE2U is intended for use in motor control panels, machinery control circuits, and industrial automation applications where contactor coil suppression is required. It is compatible with the LC1D09 through LC1D38, LC1DT20 through LC1DT40, LP1D80, LP1D80 through LP1D115, and the broader TeSys D contactor family. Typical installations include control panels in commercial HVAC systems, pump stations, conveyor systems, and other motor-driven equipment where electromagnetic interference from switching contactors must be managed.
Compatible with LC1D09-D38, LC1DT20-DT40, LP1D80, LP1D80-D115, and TeSys D series contactors as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the control panel before installing or replacing any contactor accessory module. The suppressor module snaps onto the contactor coil terminals and should be seated firmly before restoring power. Verify correct module selection for the specific contactor model prior to installation.
