The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC HCP14504 is an I-Line panelboard interior configured as a main lug type for commercial and industrial power distribution applications. Rated for 400 amperes at 600 VAC or 250 VDC, this interior supports a 3-phase, 3-wire circuit configuration with a maximum of 27 branch breaker spaces. The aluminum bus construction delivers reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance in demanding electrical environments. Feed enters from the bottom. Licensed electricians install this interior into compatible HCP-series enclosures as part of new construction or service-upgrade projects where a main disconnect is located upstream.
The HCP14504 is suited for commercial, industrial, and light institutional power distribution systems requiring high-capacity branch circuit protection. The interior accommodates a wide range of breaker frame sizes across the I-Line product family, making it a flexible solution for complex branch circuit configurations. Bottom-feed orientation is common in floor-mounted and wall-mounted gear where conduit rises from below. This interior ships as a single unit and is installed into a matching enclosure trim assembly sized at 42 inches wide by 9.5 inches deep by 50 inches tall.
Compatible branch breaker types include FA, FH, FI, FY, HD, HG, HJ, HL, JD, JG, JJ, JL, KI, LA, LC, LE, LH, LI, LX, LXI, MG, MJ, PG, PGC, PJ, PJC, PL, PLC, Q4, QB, QD, QG, and QJ frames per the manufacturer specification. Designed for use in I-Line panelboard enclosures of the HCP series. Verify enclosure trim size compatibility before ordering.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the upstream service and verify absence of voltage with a calibrated meter before handling the interior or bus assembly. Do not install branch breakers until the interior is fully secured and torqued to bus stabs per the breaker manufacturer instructions. Consult the enclosure trim documentation to confirm mechanical fit before beginning the installation.
