The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC GVAU116 is an undervoltage release accessory designed for use with TeSys series motor circuit breakers. It monitors supply voltage and triggers a trip action when voltage drops below an acceptable threshold, protecting motors and connected loads from damage caused by low-voltage conditions. The GVAU116 mounts directly to compatible GV2 and GV3 series breakers and is installed by licensed electricians during panel or motor control center assembly or service work. Its compact form factor keeps the overall footprint minimal in tight enclosures.
This undervoltage release is suited for industrial and commercial motor protection applications where consistent supply voltage is critical to equipment operation. It is commonly installed in motor starters, control panels, and machine control circuits using TeSys motor circuit breakers. The GVAU116 is appropriate for both new installations and retrofit or replacement work on existing TeSys-based motor protection assemblies.
Designed for use with GV2L, GV2LE, GV2ME, GV2P, GV3L, GV3P, and TeSys series motor circuit breakers as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before attaching or removing any accessory from the breaker. Verify that the supply voltage rating of the release matches the circuit voltage before energizing. Do not force the accessory into position; proper alignment with the breaker mounting interface is required for correct operation.
