The Schneider Electric 9001KR2B is a non-illuminated pushbutton operator from the Harmony 9001K series, designed for heavy-duty industrial control panel applications. This 30 MM operator features an extended-style actuator with a protective guard and an octagonal profile. It uses a momentary operation type, meaning the contact action is spring-return — the circuit state changes only while the button is depressed and returns to its normal state upon release. The chromium-plated metal bezel and oil-tight, dust-tight, water-tight construction without boots make it well suited for demanding plant floor environments. It carries UL 508, CSA C22.2, and CE approvals and meets EN/IEC 60947-5-1 standards for control circuit devices.
The 9001KR2B is used in industrial control panels, machine tool enclosures, and process equipment where reliable operator input is required. Its NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 12, and 13 enclosure ratings plus IP66 make it appropriate for both indoor and washdown-adjacent installations. The black color coding and clear window for contact status visibility simplify troubleshooting during service calls. Single-screw mounting speeds installation, and the design supports side-by-side or stacked configurations to reduce enclosure real estate in multi-operator panels.
Designed as an OEM-style operator head for 30 MM control stations within the Harmony 9001K series. Compatible with spring-return pushbutton contact blocks conforming to 30 MM IEC/NEMA mounting standards. Verify contact block compatibility before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements and applicable local codes. De-energize the control panel and follow lockout/tagout procedures before mounting or wiring the operator. Single-screw mounting simplifies panel cutout installation, but the mounting nut should be seated firmly and evenly to maintain the enclosure seal rating. Confirm that the mating contact block is rated for the circuit voltage and current before restoring power.
