The SCHAEFER BRUSH 43664 is a double stem, single spiral tube brush designed for cleaning the interior of tubes, pipes, and similar cylindrical passages. It features brass bristles mounted on a brass brush body, making it suitable for applications where a non-sparking, corrosion-resistant cleaning tool is required. The brush measures 4 inches in diameter with a brush length of 4.5 inches and an overall length of 8 inches. The 1/4 inch male NPSM threaded connection allows the brush to attach to standard extension rods or handles. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals commonly use this type of brush for tube and heat exchanger cleaning tasks.
This tube brush is used in residential and commercial maintenance applications where internal bore cleaning is required. Typical uses include cleaning copper tubing, condenser tubes, heat exchanger tubes, and similar cylindrical surfaces to remove scale, deposits, or debris. The brass construction makes it a practical choice in environments where ferrous contamination from steel bristles is not acceptable. The threaded male NPSM connection allows the brush to be extended with compatible rod sets for reaching into deeper passages.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service brush for use with standard tube cleaning rod systems accepting a 1/4 inch male NPSM threaded connection.
This brush is installed and operated by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial maintenance personnel performing tube cleaning tasks. Before use, ensure the system being serviced is depressurized and drained as appropriate. Thread the brush onto a compatible extension rod by hand until snug, taking care not to cross-thread the NPSM connection. Inspect bristle condition before each use and replace the brush if bristles are significantly worn or deformed.
