The SANUS LEGRAND CAVBP2-B1 is a 2U vented blanking panel designed to fill unused rack unit spaces in open-frame and enclosed equipment racks. Blanking panels block airflow bypass paths that form when rack slots are left empty, helping maintain proper front-to-back cooling efficiency across installed equipment. This panel ships as a single unit and is installed by IT technicians, AV integrators, and low-voltage contractors during rack builds or equipment changeouts. The vented design allows limited passive airflow while still directing conditioned air toward active equipment rather than letting it short-circuit through open gaps.
This blanking panel is suited for use in server rooms, telecom closets, AV equipment racks, and network distribution frames where rack space management and thermal control are priorities. It covers exactly 2U of vertical rack space and is appropriate for both new rack installations and retrofit situations where equipment has been removed and gaps need to be addressed without immediately filling the space with active components.
Designed as an OEM-style fit for standard 19-inch equipment racks commonly used in server, telecom, and AV rack enclosure applications.
Blanking panels are typically installed by low-voltage technicians or AV integrators during rack assembly or equipment removal. No tools are required for snap-in style panels, though fastener-mount panels may need a screwdriver. Power down or de-energize sensitive rack equipment before performing any physical work inside an enclosed rack cabinet. Ensure the panel is fully seated and secured to prevent it from shifting and disrupting airflow management.
