The SANDVIK COROMANT 8386785 is a solid carbide square end mill from the CoroMill Dura series, designed for high-performance milling of aluminum and non-ferrous materials. With a 3.00 mm (0.1181 inch) mill diameter and a 3-flute helical configuration featuring a variable helix geometry, this end mill promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduced chatter during cutting operations. The straight shank measures 6.00 mm in diameter, and the length of cut reaches 8.00 mm. Supplied in an uncoated bright finish, it is center-cutting capable and configured for right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction. This tool is suited for precision machining professionals working in production and toolroom environments.
This end mill is engineered for primary use in aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials, consistent with the N material code classification. Its compact 3.00 mm diameter makes it well suited for fine-detail slot milling, profiling, and pocket milling operations where tight tolerances are required. The CoroMill Dura series is built for metric tooling setups. The H10F carbide grade provides the hardness and edge retention needed for consistent performance in non-ferrous applications at higher spindle speeds. No coolant-through capability is present, making it appropriate for dry or flood-coolant external setups.
Designed for use with aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials (material code N). Fits standard straight-shank toolholders accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter. Part of the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroMill Dura series in metric sizing.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify the collet or toolholder bore matches the 6.00 mm shank diameter and that the tool is seated to the correct gauge length before tightening. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
