The SANDVIK COROMANT 8037372 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 3/8-inch cutting diameter, a 0.015-inch corner radius, and three flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral configuration with variable helix and variable index geometry. These design characteristics reduce harmonic vibration and chatter during cutting, improving surface finish and tool life. Part of the CoroMill Dura series, this end mill is built from H10F carbide grade, suited for high-hardness and difficult-to-machine materials. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and toolroom environments where corner radius profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling are required. The 1/2-inch length of cut and 2-inch overall length make it well suited for moderate-depth passes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry, expanding its utility in contour and pocket milling operations. The single-end, straight-cylindrical shank fits standard 3/8-inch collet or end mill holders commonly found in production and job shop environments.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with end mill holder torque requirements and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge length before clamping. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
