The SANDVIK COROMANT 8036752 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding machining environments. With a 1/8 inch diameter and a 0.015 inch corner radius, this tool produces controlled edge geometry that reduces stress concentrations and extends part life in slotting, profiling, and contouring cuts. The 5-flute configuration with variable helix and variable index geometry supports vibration dampening and improved surface finish at higher feed rates. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness retention, making this cutter suitable for ferrous materials and hardened steels. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill fits applications where tight corner radii are required on mold components, die features, aerospace structural parts, and precision mechanical assemblies. The centercutting design allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. The CoroMill Dura series targets high-performance finishing and semi-finishing in material grades requiring consistent tool life. The 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank seats directly into standard ER or precision collet toolholders.
Part of the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroMill Dura series. Designed for use in standard straight-bore collet chucks and ER collet systems accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter. Suitable for CNC vertical machining centers and high-speed spindle applications where small-diameter end mills are required.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before seating or removing the tool. Use a calibrated torque wrench and appropriate collet nut when tightening the 1/8 inch shank in an ER collet holder to avoid shank deformation or runout. Verify runout with a dial test indicator before initiating a cut, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to holder concentricity.
