The SANDVIK COROMANT 7860716 is a SNMG-style indexable turning insert in the T-Max P series, designed for external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. This square-shaped carbide insert carries ISO designation SNMG 12 04 04-PM 4425 and features a multilayer CVD coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN over a grade 4425 carbide substrate. The PM chip breaker geometry is engineered for finishing and medium turning on steel and cast iron. With 8 cutting edges per insert and a neutral hand configuration, this insert delivers efficient edge utilization in production turning environments. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tool-crib technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for clamping screws; do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide. Index to a fresh cutting edge rather than flipping worn edges back into the cut.
