The 80-degree diamond shape (Insert Shape Code C) provides a strong cutting edge geometry, and the 1.19 mm corner radius (0.0469 inch) supports stable chip formation under moderate to heavy cutting conditions. Classified under the T-Max P series, this insert is designed for high-productivity external and internal turning operations where consistent tool life and surface finish control are priorities.
This insert is suited for use in ISO application groups P (steel) and K (cast iron), covering a broad range of general turning scenarios including roughing and semi-finishing on ferrous workpieces.
