The SANDVIK COROMANT 7582576 is a carbide profiling and turning insert from the CoroCut 1-2 series, designed for precision grooving and profiling operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries ISO designation N123H1-0150-RO 1125 and features a PVD-applied TiAlN coating over a carbide substrate graded for M25 and S25 workpiece material groups. The insert holds a maximum depth of cut of 0.0197 inches, a corner radius of 0.0296 inches, and a positive rake angle of 10 degrees, making it well suited for light, accurate profiling passes where surface finish and edge geometry are critical. Installation is performed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This insert is rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, aligning with ISO material codes P, M, and S. It fits CoroCut 1-2 style toolholders requiring the N123H1 insert seat style. Typical applications include profiling, contour turning, and finish turning on both bar stock and chucked workpieces in production and job-shop environments. The RO chipbreaker geometry supports controlled chip formation during light radial cuts.
Designed for use in SANDVIK COROMANT CoroCut 1-2 series toolholders requiring the N123H1 insert seat style. Compatible with applications machining steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine powered down and the spindle locked. Use the appropriate SANDVIK COROMANT clamp and torx key specified for the CoroCut 1-2 holder to secure the insert; do not over-torque the clamp screw. Inspect the insert pocket seat for chips or debris before seating the insert to maintain accurate edge positioning. Always verify tool offset data in the CNC controller after an insert change before resuming production.
