The SANDVIK COROMANT 7564559 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for use in face and shoulder milling applications across a range of metalcutting operations. Manufactured to the N331.1A-11 50 08M-PM4340 ANSI and ISO standard, this rectangular, neutral-hand insert features a multi-layer CVD coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN applied over a solid carbide substrate in manufacturer grade 4340. The insert measures 11.50 mm (0.4528 inches) wide and 4.95 mm (0.1949 inches) thick, with a 0.80 mm corner radius and four available cutting edges. It carries a positive rake geometry and a 0 degree relief angle, and it is held in place by a screw-on mounting method.
This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces, covering material grade designations P40, M40, and K40. The PM chip breaker geometry supports a range of cutting conditions typical in production machining environments. Compatible with the L331.52 cutter series, this insert fits applications requiring reliable performance across moderate to demanding material removal rates. It is appropriate for use in both roughing and semi-finishing passes where depth of cut can reach up to 0.4213 inches. Machinists and tool room professionals working with steel and cast iron alloys will find this insert consistent with standard production insert tooling.
Designed for use with the L331.52 cutter series. Insert style N331.1A with insert size code 115008. Compatible with steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials as designated by material grades P40, M40, and K40.
This insert is installed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician using the appropriate screw torque per the toolholder manufacturer's specifications. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Inspect the toolholder pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage before seating a new insert. Verify insert orientation and confirm seating is flush before resuming operation.
