The SANDVIK COROMANT 7564533 is a single-sided, rectangular solid carbide milling insert in the N331.1A series, designed for face and shoulder milling operations in CNC machining centers. It carries a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, which provides thermal resistance and wear protection across a range of cutting conditions. The insert measures 9.5 mm wide and 3.5 mm thick, with a 0.50 mm corner radius and a positive rake geometry. Four available cutting edges maximize tool economy per insert. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this insert on production and job-shop milling equipment.
This insert is suited for milling steel and cast iron workpieces in both roughing and semi-finishing passes. The PM chip breaker geometry handles interrupted cuts and variable depths common in structural steel and grey iron components. It is appropriate for use in medium to high production environments where consistent edge performance and dimensional repeatability are required. The neutral hand orientation accommodates standard right-hand milling cutter bodies. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and slot milling on horizontal and vertical machining centers.
Compatible with the N331.32 cutter series. ANSI and ISO code: N331.1A-04 35 05M-PM4330. Insert size code 043505 with an inscribed circle of 0.374 inches. Designed as a direct replacement for Sandvik Coromant catalog number N331.1A-04 35 05M-PM4330.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC tooling technician or machinist. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key for the clamping screw as specified by the cutter body manufacturer. Inspect the cutter body pocket seat and screw thread for damage before seating the new insert to ensure proper clamping and runout.
