The SANDVIK COROMANT 7564532 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance metal removal in milling applications. Manufactured to the N331.1A insert style, it carries a multilayer CVD coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, which provides wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of cutting conditions. The insert measures 9.5 mm (0.3740 inches) wide and 3.5 mm (0.1378 inches) thick, with a 0.50 mm corner radius. It features four cutting edges in a neutral hand orientation with a positive rake and 0-degree relief angle. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians will recognize this as a direct-fit insert for N331.1A-compatible milling cutters.
This insert is intended for milling steel and cast iron workpieces, corresponding to ISO material grades P30, M30, and K30. It suits both roughing and semi-finishing passes where CVD-coated carbide grades are appropriate. The PL chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip evacuation in these materials. The insert is held by screw-clamping and is single-sided. The ANSI and ISO catalog reference is N331.1A-04 35 05H-PL4330, and it is compatible with the N331.32 cutter series. Minimum order quantity is 10 pieces.
Designed for use with the N331.32 cutter series. ANSI and ISO designation N331.1A-04 35 05H-PL4330 identifies the exact insert seat geometry. Compatible with N331.1A-style toolholders accepting insert size code 043505.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Use the manufacturer-specified torx or hex key to torque the clamping screw to the toolholder specification — do not over-tighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and will crack under excessive clamp load. Inspect the insert pocket seat for debris or damage before seating a new insert. Verify insert orientation and chip breaker side before resuming cutting operations.
