The SANDVIK COROMANT 7564446 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for use in face and shoulder milling operations. It carries the manufacturer grade 4330 and is coated via CVD process with a three-layer TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN coating sequence that provides wear resistance and thermal stability during interrupted and continuous cuts. The insert fits the R365 cutter series, features a square shape with a negative rake angle, and delivers 8 usable cutting edges from its double-sided configuration. A corner radius of 0.30 mm (0.0118 inches) produces a controlled edge geometry suited to finishing and semi-finishing passes on steel and cast iron workpieces.
This insert is intended for industrial machining environments where reliable tool life and consistent surface finish on steel and cast iron are required. It is used in CNC milling centers running R365-series bodies and is appropriate for both roughing at controlled depths and semi-finish passes. The insert style designation is R365-1505ZNE-PM 4330 per both ANSI and ISO standards. The PM chip breaker geometry manages chip flow effectively across the rated depth-of-cut range. Installation and changeout are performed by machining technicians and tool setters in production or job-shop settings.
Designed for use in SANDVIK COROMANT R365-series milling cutter bodies. The ANSI and ISO code for this insert is R365-1505ZNE-PM 4330. Primary workpiece material compatibility is Steel (P30) and Cast Iron (K30, M30).
Insert changeout should be performed by a qualified machining technician with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out per facility LOTO procedures. Seat the insert fully against the pocket locating surfaces before torquing the clamping screw; refer to the cutter body manufacturer torque specification for the R365 pocket screw size. Inspect the pocket seating surface and chip clearance grooves for debris before each insert index. Do not mix insert grades within the same cutter body during a single operation.
