The SANDVIK COROMANT 7564361 is a solid carbide milling insert in the R390 series, designed for high-productivity face and shoulder milling operations. Carrying manufacturer grade 4340 with a CVD-applied TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN multilayer coating, this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across demanding cutting conditions. The parallelogram insert shape features a positive 25-degree rake angle and a corner-rounded cutting edge style, with a 0.40 mm corner radius. It is single-sided, right-hand, and retained by screw. Machinists and CNC operators in metalworking environments install this insert into compatible R390 and M-32 series cutter bodies.
This insert is rated for steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials under material grade classifications P40, M40, and K40. It suits both roughing and semi-finishing passes where consistent chip control is needed. The PM chip breaker geometry is optimized for moderate to heavy feeds in these material groups. Insert size code 11T304 places it within a standard inscribed circle range of 0.2500 to 0.3000 decimal inch, making it compatible with tooling setups that specify R390-11 series inserts. It conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards under the designation R390-11 T3 04M-PM 4340.
Compatible with Sandvik Coromant M-32 and R390 series cutter bodies that accept size 11T304 inserts. Cutter series compatibility is listed as M-32 and R390 per manufacturer specifications.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the cutter body manufacturer specification — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the insert or damage the pocket seat. Inspect the pocket seat and screw thread for debris or damage before seating a new insert.
