The SANDVIK COROMANT 7419257 is a single-end corner radius end mill engineered for demanding metal removal in superalloys and titanium. The tool is built from solid carbide with a multilayer PVD TiAlN/TiSiN coating for heat and wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. It features a 12 mm cutting diameter, a 1 mm corner radius, and five right-hand helical flutes with a high helix angle of 42 degrees. The 26 mm length of cut and extended-reach neck geometry provide access in deep pockets and profiling operations. This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers by machinists and tooling technicians working in aerospace, medical, and energy sector applications.
This tool is optimized for roughing and semi-finishing operations in superalloys and titanium workpiece materials, classified under material application code S. The extended reach geometry, with a 36 mm reach length and a reduced neck diameter of 11.40 mm, makes it suited for slotting, contouring, and pocket milling where clearance below the shank is required. A straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance ensures secure clamping in standard collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic toolholders. Close pitch geometry supports chip evacuation in high-temperature alloys. It is part of the CoroMill Plura Series 2F341 product family.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders including collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic chucks accepting a 12 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Optimized for machining superalloys and titanium workpiece materials per material application code S.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the specified gauge line depth and verify runout per shop tolerance standards before cutting. Do not use this tool in a hand-operated drill press or non-CNC application; it is intended for use in controlled CNC machining environments only.
