The SANDVIK COROMANT 7419161 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding material removal in superalloys and titanium. Part of the CoroMill Plura Series 2F340, it features a 6 mm cutting diameter, a 0.5 mm corner radius, and five helical flutes with a 42-degree high helix angle. The TiAlSiN PVD multilayer coating provides thermal and wear resistance required when cutting heat-resistant alloys. With an extended reach design and a neck diameter of 5.70 mm, this tool is suited for deep-pocket and complex-geometry roughing operations. It is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with a straight-cylindrical shank. Machinists and CNC tooling specialists install this type of end mill in production and job-shop environments.
The 7419161 is designed for roughing applications in superalloys and titanium, material application code S. Its extended reach of 20 mm and 13 mm length of cut make it well-suited for profiling, slotting, and pocket-milling operations where tool projection into deep features is required. The close pitch flute spacing supports chip evacuation in tough, gummy materials. It is intended for use with a standard toolholder and is compatible with CNC machining centers running high-performance cutting programs targeting aerospace and precision-component workpieces.
Designed for use with a standard straight-cylindrical toolholder. Primary workpiece material designation is Superalloys and Titanium (material code S). Part of the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroMill Plura Series 2F340.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. The machine spindle must be stopped and the toolholder fully released before loading or unloading the end mill. Confirm runout tolerance and toolholder clamping torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. Verify that cutting parameters are set for the specific workpiece material grade, as superalloys and titanium require conservative feed rates and adequate coolant strategy even though this tool does not have coolant-through capability.
