The SANDVIK COROMANT 7357695 is a replaceable drill tip engineered for the CoroDrill 870 modular drilling system. It features a 13.50 mm (0.5315 inch) cutting diameter, a 142-degree point angle, and a two-flute helical design. The insert is manufactured from solid carbide using a fine-grain grade 2334 substrate and finished with an AlTiCrN coating applied via PVD process. This combination provides the hardness and thermal resistance required when drilling stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The tip clamps into seat size 13 holders and is intended for solid drilling applications in production machining environments.
This replaceable tip is designed for use in the CoroDrill 870 interchangeable-tip drill platform, which separates the carbide tip from the steel shank body for cost-effective tooling management. It is suited to production environments running stainless steel (ISO M) and superalloy or titanium workpieces (ISO S). Typical applications include CNC machining centers and turning centers performing through-hole and blind-hole solid drilling. A licensed machinist or toolroom technician typically performs tip changes and tool assembly.
Designed for use with SANDVIK COROMANT CoroDrill 870 series modular drill bodies accepting insert seat size 13. ISO Number 870-1350-13-MM 2334. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel (ISO M) and superalloys and titanium (ISO S).
Tip installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist following the CoroDrill 870 assembly procedure. Ensure the drill body shank and insert seat are clean and free of chips or debris before seating the tip. Use the specified clamping torque tool recommended by the manufacturer for the seat size 13 interface. This tip does not support coolant-through delivery, so external coolant or minimum quantity lubrication setup should be confirmed before machining begins.
