The insert is manufactured from solid carbide using a fine-grain grade 2334 substrate and finished with an AlTiCrN coating applied via PVD process. This combination provides the hardness and thermal resistance required when drilling stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The tip clamps into seat size 13 holders and is intended for solid drilling applications in production machining environments.

This replaceable tip is designed for use in the CoroDrill 870 interchangeable-tip drill platform, which separates the carbide tip from the steel shank body for cost-effective tooling management.
