The SANDVIK COROMANT 7357591 is a replaceable drill tip designed for use with CoroDrill 870 modular drilling systems. The tip measures 11.00 mm (0.4331 inches) in cutting diameter and features a 142-degree included point angle suited for general-purpose drilling operations. Manufactured from solid carbide with a fine grain material grade, it carries a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process. The PM insert geometry and seat size 8 designation match the CoroDrill 870 toolholder interface. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tip as part of a modular drill assembly in production or job-shop environments.
This drill tip is rated for use across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, N, and S. It is suited to solid drilling applications where a replaceable-tip design reduces tooling cost and changeover time versus a brazed or monolithic drill. The helical flute design and regular spiral type support chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole drilling. Coolant-through capability is not provided on this tip.
Designed for use with CoroDrill 870 series modular drill bodies requiring an insert seat size 8. ISO number designation is 870-1100-8-PM 4334. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians using the clamp-type insert holding method specified for the CoroDrill 870 interface. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before seating or removing the drill tip. Verify the insert seat is clean and free of chips or debris before clamping to achieve proper seating and runout. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque guidance for the clamping screw — do not over-torque or substitute fasteners.
