The SANDVIK COROMANT 7101119 is a solid carbide square milling insert in the R245 series, grade 1130, designed for face and shoulder milling operations. It features an AlTiCrN coating applied via PVD process, which provides heat and wear resistance across a wide range of cutting conditions. The insert has four cutting edges with a positive rake angle of 15 degrees, a corner radius of 1.50 mm (0.0591 inches), and a PM chip breaker geometry. With an inscribed circle of 13.40 mm (0.5276 inches) and a thickness of 3.97 mm (0.1563 inches), this insert is suited for productive metal removal on steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is secured by screw clamping and is single-sided. ANSI and ISO standards apply.
This insert is intended for use in the R245 cutter series and is compatible with right-hand tooling configurations. Typical applications include face milling and shoulder milling in both production shop and job shop environments on CNC machining centers and milling machines. Primary workpiece materials include steel (P), stainless steel (M), non-ferrous metals (N), superalloys and titanium (S), and hard materials (H). Material grades P30, M15, and N15 are listed. The PM chip breaker geometry supports stable chip control across moderate to high feed rates. This insert is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use with R245 series cutter bodies. ANSI and ISO code: R245-12 T3 M-PM 1130. Insert size code 12T3. Right-hand orientation. Compatible with the R245 cutter series as specified by the manufacturer.
This insert is installed and serviced by trained machinists or tooling specialists on CNC or manual milling equipment. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer when tightening the clamping screw. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper contact and edge height.
