The SANDVIK COROMANT 7045784 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precise edge-breaking and chamfering operations on metallic workpieces. Built on the 1P330 series platform, it features a 0.5-inch cutting diameter, a 45-degree chamfer angle, and a TiAlN PVD coating that provides thermal resistance and wear protection during high-speed cutting. With three right-hand helical flutes at a 45-degree helix angle and centercutting capability, this tool handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. It is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC milling operations where consistent chamfer geometry and extended tool life are required.
This end mill is suited for milling applications across a range of primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys and titanium. The short flute length and straight cylindrical shank make it appropriate for close-tolerance work in vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is a single-end tool with a normal pitch, no chipbreaker, and no coolant-through provision, making it a straightforward drop-in for standard tool holders with a 0.5-inch bore.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide chamfer end mill within the SANDVIK COROMANT 1P330 series. Compatible with standard straight-bore end mill holders accepting a 0.5-inch shank diameter. Suitable for steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), non-ferrous metal (N), and superalloys and titanium (S) workpiece material classifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Confirm the tool holder bore tolerance is compatible with the h6 shank tolerance to prevent runout. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines when setting tool length offsets and spindle speeds.
