Manufactured to Grade 4324 with a CVD-applied TiCN and Al2O3 coating, this insert delivers hard, wear-resistant cutting performance in a range of metalcutting applications. It features an 880GM chipbreaker geometry and a square shape with a 6 mm (0.2362 inch) inscribed circle, 0.1024-inch thickness, and a 0.50 mm (0.0197-inch) corner radius. The cutting direction is right hand. Installation is handled by machinists and tool crib technicians in production and job-shop environments.

This insert is suited for drilling operations where a CVD-coated solid carbide grade is required for steel and similar workpiece materials. The GM chipbreaker is intended for general-purpose chip control during through-hole and blind-hole drilling.
