The SANDVIK COROMANT 6532047 is a double-sided, square-shaped solid carbide milling insert in manufacturer grade S30T with a TiAlN PVD coating. It belongs to the Series 345 insert family and carries ANSI and ISO designations 345R-13T5M-MM S30T. The insert features a negative rake angle of 24 degrees, a corner radius of 0.80 mm (approximately 1/32 inch), and delivers up to 8 usable cutting edges per insert. Maximum depth of cut is 6.00 mm (0.2362 inches). The MM chip breaker geometry is engineered for controlled chip formation in demanding cutting conditions. Installation is performed by licensed machinists and tooling professionals using standard screw-clamping toolholders.
This insert is designed for milling applications in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium — material application codes M and S. It is suited for use in Series 345 cutter bodies and is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes where edge security and coating wear resistance are priorities. The PVD-applied TiAlN coating provides thermal stability at elevated cutting temperatures, which is critical when machining heat-resistant alloys. Right-hand cutting orientation. The MM chip breaker designation targets medium machining conditions in these difficult-to-machine material groups.
Designed for use with Series 345 cutter bodies as specified by the manufacturer. ANSI and ISO designation 345R-13T5M-MM S30T. Insert size code 13T5. Verify cutter body compatibility against the Series 345 toolholder specifications before installation.
This insert is installed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with indexable milling toolholder systems. Power down and lock out the spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key to the toolholder manufacturer's specified seating procedure when tightening the clamping screw. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for damage or debris before seating a new insert to ensure full contact and prevent premature edge failure.
