It carries manufacturer grade 1125 with a dual-layer TiAlN and AlCr2O3 coating applied via PVD process, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability across a broad range of cutting conditions. The insert geometry is 80-degree diamond (shape code C), neutral hand, with an MF chip breaker suited for medium to finish turning passes. Insert length measures 9.67 mm (0.3807 inches) with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 1/64-inch (0.40 mm) corner radius. Holding method is clamp and pin, clearance code N, tolerance code M.
This insert is intended for turning steel as its primary workpiece material, and is also rated for stainless steel, superalloy, and titanium applications.
