The SANDVIK COROMANT 6010205 is a right-hand indexable turning toolholder in the QS-SDJCR style, designed for external turning and facing operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features a screw-clamp insert holding method and accepts DCMT 32.52 inserts with a 0.375 inch (3/8 inch) inscribed circle. The shank measures 0.625 inches wide by 0.625 inches tall, with an overall length of 2.756 inches. The toolholder carries a neutral rake angle of 0 degrees, which supports a broad range of workpiece materials. It is constructed from steel for rigidity and long service life. Licensed machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators typically install this holder in production and job-shop turning applications.
This toolholder is built for facing operations and general external turning on lathes where a right-hand QS-SDJCR-style holder is required. The compact head length of 1.083 inches and a back-of-bar to cutting edge distance of 2.756 inches (70.00 mm) make it well suited for close-clearance setups. The QS interface enables rapid tool changes, reducing machine downtime during production runs. It is sold individually and is appropriate for shops running DCMT 32.52 insert programs that require a consistent, repeatable tool position.
Designed for use with DCMT 32.52 inserts (3/8 inch inscribed circle). Part of the CoroTurn 107 series. Verify insert geometry and QS interface compatibility with your lathe or turning center before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the toolholder. Ensure the QS interface on the machine tool or turret is clean and free of chips or debris before seating the holder. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque guidelines for the clamping screws; do not use impact tools on insert or holder fasteners.
