The SANDVIK COROMANT 5765753 is a solid carbide indexable drill insert designed for use with compatible 880-series indexable drills. Featuring a TiAlN and AlCr2O3 PVD coating, the insert provides thermal resistance and wear protection during high-speed drilling operations. It carries a square shape with an inscribed circle of 0.4016 inches (10.20 mm), a thickness of 0.1378 inches, and a 0.60 mm corner radius. The LM chipbreaker geometry is suited for controlled chip evacuation in a range of workpiece materials. Installation is performed by machinists and tooling technicians in CNC and manual drilling applications.
This insert is intended for right-hand cutting direction and fits the 880-series insert pocket with an 06C insert size designation. It is applicable in production drilling environments including automotive, aerospace, and general metalworking where repeatable hole quality and insert longevity are required. The 4.00 mm mounting hole accommodates the standard torx or hex clamping screw used in the host tool body. Typical applications include through-hole and blind-hole drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a square insert geometry and LM chipbreaker are specified.
Designed as a replacement insert for 880-series indexable drill bodies accepting a square 06C-style insert with a 4.00 mm clamping hole and right-hand cutting orientation. Verify host tool insert pocket geometry and clamping screw size before installation.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Use the correct torx or hex key to seat and torque the clamping screw to the tool manufacturer specification for the host drill body. Inspect the insert pocket for chips, debris, or wear before seating the new insert. Never force an insert into a pocket that shows signs of damage, as this can cause insert fracture or tool body failure during operation.
