The SANDVIK COROMANT 5765719 is a solid carbide indexable drill insert designed for use in indexable insert drills requiring high-performance cutting capability. Carrying the 1044 manufacturer grade with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of workpiece materials. The insert features a square shape with an 880 insert style and LM chipbreaker geometry. The inscribed circle measures 0.2677 inches (6.80 mm), thickness is 0.1102 inches, and the corner radius is 0.0197 inches (0.50 mm). Installation is performed by machinists and tooling technicians working with compatible Sandvik Coromant 880-series indexable drill bodies.
This insert is suited for metal-cutting drilling operations in manufacturing environments, including production machining of steel, stainless steel, and similar materials where controlled chip formation is required. The LM chipbreaker geometry targets light to medium cutting conditions. The TiAlN PVD coating provides elevated-temperature performance, making this insert appropriate for dry or minimal-coolant machining strategies as well as flood-coolant setups. The insert size designation is 04C with a hole diameter of 0.1102 inches (2.80 mm) for the mounting screw. This insert ships individually but must be ordered in multiples of 10.
Designed for use in SANDVIK COROMANT 880-series indexable insert drill bodies that accept the 04C insert size with an 880 insert style designation. Confirm drill body insert pocket specifications before ordering.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians following the drill body manufacturer's torx or hex key torque procedure for insert clamping screws. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before handling or changing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for damage or debris before seating the new insert. Do not force the insert into the pocket; improper seating can cause insert fracture or tool body damage during cutting.
